Loris Capirossi (65)

Pramac Racing Team

Bike: Ducati

Weight: 59 kg

Height: 165 cm

The most experienced rider on the MotoGP grid Loris Capirossi has a wealth of knowledge and a pedigree in Grand Prix racing that few can match, and in 2011 the Italian enters his 22nd season of World Championship competition. Joining up with Pramac Racing to ride the satellite Desmosedici, the three-time former World Champion will be aiming to secure his 100th career podium this year.

World Champion in the 125cc class at just 17 years of age, Capirossi successfully defended his crown before moving up to 250s, in which he took the title in 1998. A top-three finisher on board a 500cc two-stroke Honda in 2001 and a factory MotoGP Ducati in 2006, Capirossi is the only rider other than Valentino Rossi to have won races in all categories. After three seasons with Suzuki he now returns to riding a Ducati, alongside new team-mate Frenchman Randy de Puniet.
